CHURCH PLANTING
100% of every dollar given to "Church Planting" goes directly to a church planting project. If you would like to know what projects are available, and would like to earmark your gifts to help fund a specific project, you may e-mail John Newton at jnewton@chog.org. Your gifts and prayerful support are critical to planting new congregations in the Church of God.
NATURAL CHURCH DEVELOPMENT (NCD) SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are available to churches who take the NCD Survey during the 2009 calendar year. Simply send a copy of your survey results to your Area Administrator and they will request the refund from our office.
COACHES TRAINING INITIATIVE
Since May 2006, 70 Church of God pastors and leaders have completed the Church of God Coaches Training Initiative. Our goal is to have trained coaches in every state who will commit to coaching one church each year. We believe that developing high-quality coaches will have a life-changing impact on our Movement.
This is a partnership with a high level of commitment from the coaches who are receiving training. While we pay the expenses of the training, materials, and meals, each coach is responsible for their own travel and lodging. Once the training is completed, each coach will be connected with a congregation who is interested in journeying in a coaching relationship.
Eighteen trainees from the next generation of coaches began their training in May 2009. If you would like your name to be considered for the coaches training, and would commit to partnering in a coaching network, send your name and a short paragraph to jnewton@chog.org .
CHURCH GROWTH COACHING
We can assist you in getting in touch with consultants who will best serve your specific needs. There are many individuals, both inside and outside Church of God Ministries, who are gifted and qualified coaches.
CHURCH PLANTERS BOOT CAMP
The Church Planters Boot Camp, held during North American Convention each year, provides training in an informal and interactive environment in which participants develop their vision and strategy for launching a new church, or turning an established church around. The boot camp combines instructional sessions, workshops, and case studies by current church planting experts.
